Hey I’m Josh.
I’m pretty big advocate that running is as good for the mind as it is for the body. I’ve had a connection with it since I was pretty young, but it wasn’t until later in life when career and social pressures and ultimately anxiety built up I saw the ability to use it as much as a psychological tool as a physical one.
I am pretty competitive, having taking on 5 or so marathons on road and trail, as well as several ultra marathons. The upcoming challenge is tucking in under 2:40 at Brighton marathon next year. I do also get a massive kick out of helping others whether it’s mentoring, coaching or being a pacer for people to reach their personal bests. I also enjoy a bit of the geeky science behind running too having studied exercise sciences back in the day at University of Leeds.
This site is as much about my adventures exploring trails, as my thoughts on training, goal setting & staying positive. It’s a project that may expand into something bigger but for now I hope you enjoy reading my adventures as much as I enjoy running them.
